We are in the process of web design and photography for a property in Queenstown, South Island, NZ. The property is intended as a holiday and corporate retreat as well as a holiday home for the owners. As part of the exercise we had to brain storm a suitable name that not only reflected the area but also some attribute of the property. The owner is an architect and hence wanted to somehow showcase this as part of the brand.
We successfully achieved this using a graphic interpretation of the features of the open plan living area ceiling and the vista of the lake from the outdoor deck – click on the image above to see additional photos. The name we all agreed on was Shimmerlake, which fits perfectly with the graphic treatment of the logotype.
